Both a girl and a princess, ChibiUsa has triumphed over many struggles because of her status. But in the present, everyone knows her as just plain ChibiUsa. When Usagi first meets ChibiUsa, she falls out of the sky claiming that her name was also Usagi and was demanding that Usagi hand over the Silver Crystal. Even though her NA dub counterpart Rini was annoying and constantly trying to ruin Usagi's life in a little sister way, in the manga ChibiUsa's first-hand brattiness is well- justified. Because of this, she sought friendship in Sailor Pluto and her guardian kitten Diana. One day, she decided that she would look at the Silver Crystal because of the taunts made by her classmates, but when this happened the Black Moon Clan attacked and chaos befell Crystal Tokyo. Guilt-ridden and scared, ChibiUsa travels through time to save her mother. ChibiUsa also tends to compete with Usagi for Mamoru's affection because he does treat her like a doting father, and tries to protect her so that Usagi can fulfill her duties. ChibiUsa is also a mini version of Usagi, but she's much more mischievous.

The Soldier: Sailor ChibiMoon; Super; Eternal
ChibiUsa is finally able to transform into Sailor ChibiMoon towards the end of the Black Moon Arc. She had been brainwashed as Black Lady, and because of the death of Sailor Pluto, her heart had finally reached the breaking point. The Silver Crystal appeared in her tear, and she was able to henshin into a soldier for the first time. She then borrowed her mother's cutie moon wand to help Sailor Moon destroy wise man. After they defeat the Black Moon Clan, ChibiUsa returns to the present to train as a sailor senshi. Her own powers often mimic Sailor Moon's, and in the Dead Moon Circus Arc, she begins to wonder if she will ever become a true soldier. But after the battle with the Dead Moon Circus is over, she creates her very own Pink Moon Crystal. In the future, she leads the Sailor Quartet with Sailor Saturn.

The Queen: Black Lady
During the Black Moon Clan Arc after everything that ChibiUsa has been through, she was confronted by Wiseman, who then turned her into Black Lady, the Dark Queen of Nemesis and the Black Moon Clan. After her mind had been brainwashed, she even went as far as taking on a new physical form; the form of a "true lady", albeit wicked and full of spite. When she tries to re-enter the Crystal Palace as Black Lady, she rejects Luna P, and she herself is rejected by the Silver Crystal when it senses her dark intentions. Black Lady also manages to hypnotize Endymion, and steals the Ginzuishou from the past and the future, but they are stolen from her by Demand. After Sailor Pluto stopped time, the quiet soldier quickly suffered her punishment of breaking that taboo. When Black Lady realizes that her friend Pluto had died, she reverts to her true form.

The Future: Princess Usagi Small Lady Serenity
She is the first crown princess of the new Silver Millennium in 30th Century Crystal Tokyo. When Neo Queen Serenity was 22, she gave birth to her daughter, Princess Usagi Small Lady Serenity. As a child of both the Earth and Moon Kingdom, there are many mysterious concerning her stunted growth. After a certain age, ChibiUsa had stopped maturing, and had remained a "child" for 900 years. She was also teased by other children who claimed that she was not truly the heir because she didn't have a crescent moon on her forehead and because her mother did not openly dote on her. Eventually towards the end of the series, ChibiUsa begins to mature into a beautiful, strong young woman. In one glimpse of the future during the Stars Arc, Princess ChibiUsa is not allowed to return to the past when she suspects that the past is being distorted because she has many studies. However, her mother eventually caves in. As a princess, ChibiUsa still has a strong sense of responsibility to both the past and present.
