Designs
Welcome to Manga-Angels (Remix)'s layout design archive. When-ever the current layout becomes stale and old like a piece of bread you forgot to eat yesterday night at your Aunt Betty's, a new layout will emerge from the mists. So, this tale of graphic design will appear with some dates and details.
08-09 Remix
These designs for Manga-Angels represents the renewal of the website itself. The layouts will be a mixture of different images, and some will have a mixture of colors that may not ordinarilly go together.
Name: Violet Wings
Life:02-02-09 to 04-24-09
Comments: This layout features Sailor Saturn! I really liked the colors and the gradient effect on the top. It took me a long time to decide whether to show the full menu or not, realizing that the names are not "normal". Anyway, I really love it! Really.
Name: Flower Hurricane
Life:12-27-08 to 02-02-09
Comments: This is M-A's first layout on its new domain. I wanted it to be very clean and open. I also realized that this would be its first layout freaturing Kino Makoto; can you believe that? It used some cherry blossom brushes and two images of Makoto as Sailor Jupiter.
Name: oh so, phantom DEBONAIR
Life: 9-7-08 to 12-27-08
Comments: This layout is a combination of divs and tables using many images of Chiba Mamoru in various forms. I had realized I never had a layout featuring him, so here we are! This particular design is the result of many failed, trashed layouts I had created before I settled on this one. I also like how you never exactly see Mamo-chan's face either.
Name: War of the Roses
Life: 8-10-08 to 9-7-08
Comments: This is the first try-out with divs instead of the tables for the layout. The design colors were different than what I was used to, but worked well together. Every time the page was refreshed, etc, the image would change between Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna and Hoturu. When the mouse moved over the main menu, a little rose would appear beside it. The hardest part about the design was making the small rose image.
Name: Blue Symphony
Life: 7-20-08 to 8-10-08
Comments: This is the very first layout made for M-A (R)! It's very cute and simple, and the swirlies I used to encircle the senshi remind me of a triple clef, thus the name "Blue Symphony". It had roll-over images for the links 'truth, honor, love' and 'hope' and it used tables. Unfortunately, since I made the layout while I was re-making M-A, it soon fell out of my favor when M-A made its debut.
Timeless
The "Timeless" series are old layouts from the original M-A. Because of how long it's been, I don't know when exactly these designs were created or where I got the images, etc. But maybe if you squint at them long enough, they'll be able to tell you something.
Name: Unknown
Found: Sailor Moon Pocky Box
Age: 2 years +
When I was surfing through the web, I came across the SM Pocky Box and found an old review I never applied for. I found a screencap of one of M-A's ancient layouts and I'm grateful to them having this image. I beleive it was a picture of Ami.
